How do I manage my exhibits?
Parrot has an exhibits management application integrated with Zoom and synced with the Parrot platform. The application allows you to upload your exhibits prior to your proceeding or during the proceeding.
Managing Exhibits Prior to the Proceeding
Summary:
- Log into Parrot
- Click into the relevant deposition folder
- Upload your exhibits
- Join the Zoom proceeding
- The reporter will invite you to open the Exhibits Management Application
- Log in to Parrot via the Exhibits Management Application (Note: you will only be able to access previously uploaded exhibits if you have a Parrot login and access to the relevant case)
- Parrot will sync any exhibits that have been previously uploaded from the platform to the meeting
- Introduce and present exhibits as needed
- Any exhibits introduced will be attached to the transcript
Step-by-step instructions:
Upload Exhibits in Parrot
1. Log-in to your account at https://app.parrot.us
2. Click into the relevant deposition folder, which will be found under the relevant case folder
3. In the Proceeding Details panel on the right, click 'Upload exhibits', and upload the files
Access your documents
- Join the Zoom proceeding. You can find the meeting link and access the meeting via your Cases or via the relevant proceeding folder. Detailed instructions can be found here.
- The reporter will invite you to open the Exhibits Management Application. Click 'Open'.
- Click 'Log In To Sync Exhibits', and you will be prompted to input your Parrot credentials
Note: you will only be able to access previously uploaded exhibits if you have a Parrot login and access to the relevant case
- Once you’ve logged into Parrot, any exhibits you previously uploaded to the proceeding will be automatically synced to the meeting and appear in the list.
- Preview: Review the contents file, visible only to you
- Delete: Clicking the 'x' will delete the file
- Introduce: This will share the file with all participants in the proceeding, and move the file to the "introduced" tab, which is visible to all participants.
- Previewing files makes the file fullscreen for you. The label in the top middle confirms this. From here, you can either close the preview or present the exhibit.
Sharing Publicly (visible to all)
- Click 'Introduce' to begin the process of sharing
- You will now be asked some questions
- Select whether this is the Plaintiff or Defendant side sharing this
- Name the exhibit however you would like to refer to it (the order is stored automatically)
- Click either 'Introduce' to move the file to the publicly viewable section, or 'Introduce + Present Now', which moves the file to the publicly viewable section and starts presenting the file immediately.
- Once a file is introduced, you will find it in the "Introduced" tab. Files in this tab are visible to all participants. From this list, you can:
- Preview: Preview the file yourself before presenting to all participants
- Present: Present the file to all participants
- Similar to when the file was private, previewing files makes the file fullscreen for you. From here, you can either close the preview or present the exhibit.
- Clicking 'Present exhibit' presents the file to all participants. You'll notice the green "Public presenting" label in the top as well as the customary Zoom green outline around the shared file. You are now sharing the exhibit.
- All files that were introduced get automatically saved to the Exhibits folder and attached to the transcript for that proceeding, saving you time and effort.

- Join the Zoom proceeding.
- When ready to share exhibits, accept the invite to use "Parrot App"
Upload Privately (only visible to you)
- Click 'Upload exhibits'
- Select files you want to import into the meeting and click 'Open'
Note: These files will remain private, they will not be shared with anyone until you click present later
- The files will now appear in the list.

- When you're ready to present the exhibit, you can use the Zoom "Screen Share" button to share your exhibit from your computer. Please note that you will still see the 'Present' button. However, when accessing the exhibits management application through the webview, the functionality to present is disabled.
